I'm led to believe that NHL 16 WILL NOT be available for XBOX 360 is this true anybody?"??

Yes, that is true: Coming September 15, 2015 Available only on Xbox One & PlayStation 4

They dropped the 16 it is called NHL Legacy https://www.easports.com/nhl/features/nhl-legacy
