Unfortunately this setting currently resets every-time you re-launch the game. Once you are in the game however, you can customize them once more and they will persist for your current game session.

Can you give us a hint of a time frame? A month, a week or just the all dreaded "soon"? I have stopped playing this game due to this bug. If EA needs some help testing, I would gladly apply!

I reached 27th game now and is ok because I have to be off line all the time and also you can't go to the performance center or change anything on your pro player. Don't go to this menu or u will end up with 20 minutes again! If this\happen u must sacrifice your last game , leave be a pro mode without saving and upload your last saving. REMEMBER every time check your settings before savings and save every single game! Check and again check before saving in your settings if the game is still on 3 minutes and if you want to do some changes in game settings ALWAYS DO IT IN THE GAME NOT IN THE MENU! It works for me so hope will for you as well but you must sacrifice a lot ie be offline so is nice from EA that you paid a lot of money for it and the game is yours but you can't do want you want because you are limited from EA GAME EXPERTS!! BEFORE YOU START NEW BE A PRO DELETE ALL PREVIOUS SAVED GAMES DELETE ALL OR IT WILL GO BACK TO 20 MINUTES!!
It works like that, still have to be very carefully! Hope the patch is going to come soon.
