NHL 18 connecting online never has everything else does

Thanks I'll keep trying anything. Any chance it could have to do with origin.com ea showing I have no games?  Madden still works anyways but no games show up in my history under Origin ea account

I’m having this same issue and have also tried everything you have been saying, still not connecting. Also, NHL is the only game that doesn’t let me access online 

I know, me and my brother play online all the time, played just a few nights ago...then all of a sudden last night it won’t let me on. I don’t get it

Do you have any PC games from us? That would be the only time Origin would show you have any games. It's not going to show console games.

I assume changing the IPv didn't help? Something else to try is clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps:

Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Also, try clearing your alternate MAC address as detailed in my previous response.

Thanks for your help I'll keep trying stuff. If I could trade Madden and nba2k online working for hockey working I totally would.

We'll keep trying to get this figured out. If that doesn't work, try going to www.origin.com. Log in there and in the lower left mouse over your name. Then, choose EA Account. On the next screen, scroll down to the bottom of the page and let me know if you see a Revoke Access button next to your gamertag. If you do, hit that button and you'll be forced to verify your account again when you try playing. Once verified, it may work. Let me know what happwns.

It's very possible 19 or 20 will connect for you. Do you have an EA Access subscription by chance? You can try out a trial of the game if you do.

You might be able to get your ISP to help with getting your IPv to be on 4 and not both 4 and 6.

IT IS THE SERVER. Right now the status shows down and the date is Aug. 1. All of this trying settings and resets and ports is useless. we are stuck until the server is fixed.

Where are you seeing it's down? I checked myself and I can see there are people playing on both Xbox and PlayStation.

Tks yeah I just dont see why hockey is the only game that's different especially because it's my favorite game.  I appreciate your help I'll try the trial runs and see if there's a connection test for them...

Sounds good. It looks like there might be a problem with the NHL 18 servers, as pointed out previously by @Hockeymn25. I'm trying to find out more about that.

Yeah will do... looks like the trial for nhl20 connects.

Not me personally, but after reporting this, it was looked into and some quick maintenance was performed that got it resolved.

It looks like 18 should be working now, but you should check out the trial for 20. A lot has changed since 18! 🙂
