Hi there. You should still be able to play the offline modes in these games. The online modes have been sunset.

As far as which is better, not sure I can help there. I believe I liked 21 better than 18, but it's been ages since playing either one of those games. I tend to stick to the current NHL game.

thanks i thought so...i haven't been able to play MY ps4 in almost a year cuz all of a sudden it can't read my discs anymore and i don't know how to remove the top to get to the laser to try to repair it and there is no repair shops near me to fix my ps4 so i had to find a new one for free which i did now i have to start over but i have heard the newer SPORTS games AREN'T 94 controls anymore which i loved cuz i couldn't use the joysticks for both shoot pass and skate

If you get 24 or 25, you can still use the buttons to shoot and pass with Hybrid controls.

i thought hybrid controls were using left stick to move and right stick to shoot or pass.....are you saying i can use the left stick to skate and the buttons to shoot and pass

Yes. That's what I'm saying. Hybrid controls also support wrist/slapshots and passing on the face buttons.

ok thank you cuz i ALWAYS thought that hybrid controls were just the joysticks......so whats the difference between hybrid controls and 94 controls cuz to me thats what hybrid controls sound like the old 94 CONTROL that i always use and what stopped me from buying games like nhl 23..24..and nhl 25 cuz i thought i would have to use both joysticks instead of left to skate and buttons to shoot or pass

The Skill Stick layout uses the right stick for shooting. Hybrid can still use the right stick too shoot, but the face buttons are replaced with shooting/passing controls. You can see more on this here.

had to use a magnifying glass to see that link you told me to check out....yes or no from what i read i could use either the right joystick to shoot or the different symbols am i right and if i am right what symbols for each shot cuz i can't see them properly they are a bit unclear in the post you sent me please tell me the symbols for each shot and thats for ps4

another question i wanted to ask bout nhl games AFTER nhl 21.....have they improved the all time stats system because the reason i stopped playing nhl 21 after '5 seasons' with my created player is due to the fact that i wasn't added to the all-time goals list with my 'numbers' i should of been 4th all time and the only one of those lists my name is in is...most penalty minutes in a season....i can't check it cuz the ps4 i was using is broke so i had to get a new one from a cousin who wasn't using his cuz he got ps5

Unfortunately, I don't know if this has been addressed or not. I don't recall seeing this issue being reported though.
