i have 2 questions first off is nhl18 better then nhl 21 it might not be just wondering and since the nhl 18 servers are down...secondly is it even worth playing like can i still complete in game challenges for it even if the servers are down

Yes. That's what I'm saying. Hybrid controls also support wrist/slapshots and passing on the face buttons.
i thought hybrid controls were using left stick to move and right stick to shoot or pass.....are you saying i can use the left stick to skate and the buttons to shoot and pass

If you get 24 or 25, you can still use the buttons to shoot and pass with Hybrid controls.
thanks i thought so...i haven't been able to play MY ps4 in almost a year cuz all of a sudden it can't read my discs anymore and i don't know how to remove the top to get to the laser to try to repair it and there is no repair shops near me to fix my ps4 so i had to find a new one for free which i did now i have to start over but i have heard the newer SPORTS games AREN'T 94 controls anymore which i loved cuz i couldn't use the joysticks for both shoot pass and skate

Hi there. You should still be able to play the offline modes in these games. The online modes have been sunset.
As far as which is better, not sure I can help there. I believe I liked 21 better than 18, but it's been ages since playing either one of those games. I tend to stick to the current NHL game.
