It’s not about blowing past the CPU, it’s about the fact when they’re on your team in EASHL they’re a turnover machine, they don’t pass the puck, basically they have zero intelligence or awareness on the ice.
You pretty much summed it up yourself, they make changes based on what people want in HUT, they don’t care about other game modes. Personally, I don’t enjoy HUT, and I know other people who don’t enjoy it as well. It’s a cash grab, it’s pay to win, and EA devote 100% of their resources to it because with their sales declining every year, micro-transactions are what keep them in business, and they care more about money than their customer base.
Well listen up EA, if you wanna make more money off of NHL, start listening to the rest of us, then maybe we’ll buy the game again. You manage it with FIFA, that’s still a game I buy every year and it’s a fantastic game, so why can’t you do it with NHL? Your NHL team is your company’s weakness, so pull it together. Maybe it would help if you released a new game every 2-3 years instead of annually.
I hear ya - my main focus is EASHL amd it definitely plays worse than HUT. One of the devs on the main forums said EASHL is the casual league so they want to make it fun (read: easy) for everyone.
I absolutely despise microtransactions but still try to get them put back into EASHL so they'd put a little more effort into the mode. I'd pay 5 dollars on my personal character but not for packs with a 1% chance of something that will be obsolete in a week.
You just need to focus on D the best you can - rushes are easy. Learn the cheesers right away so you know how to counter em; I don't know hoe many top 10 teams mine has destroyed because they literally don't know how to do anything else.
EA just needs some competition to make the game the best it can be; the foundation is already there
