I dont know why we try to politly make him understand what the deal for us. He dosent want to understand what we are saying. This forum is exclty how EA treat its player who want to play the part of their game that dosent require us the more than we already pay. They dosent even care period.
Can you get a refund on this game? IT IS BRUTAL. I'm not confident EA will fix it's problems in the game.

There is definitely something wrong with scouting manually, but you can scout goalies. It is true that going into Assign Scout and then going through players there are no goalies. The filter for goalies actually shows defensemen. However, if you go in to View Draft Board you will see goalies. You can then go into the goalie's profile and select to scout him.....you can select which scout to scout him if you have multiple scouts in that region.
Again, it should work from the Assign Scout screen, but this is a work around to still scout goalies.
I completely understand, just making sure you knew there was a workaround. I personally like to do all scouting manually, so it is not too big of a deal to me. I often go into the draft board to find players I can add to the scouting anyway. If you filter to goalies and select the profile of the first goalie.......you can then RT/LT to scroll to the next goalie's profile instead of closing and then opening the next person's profile. To me, it doesn't really take anymore time. But that's me. I can certainly see how others might not like that approach and I agree the overall issue of not being able to scout goalies from the Assign Scout screen needs to be fixed. As does auto-scouting for those that don't want to do manual scouting.
There are so many problems, I'm not going to find and label all of them; you may want to just check out the game playing franchise mode, you'd pretty quickly see why people get frustrated.
Here are some obvious ones:
- Trade Value is WACK (I took pictures of a few examples but all over the place it's just really bad)
- defense line preferences show up as forward lines in edit lines feature
- changed my coach but players will still show their line preferences for the old coach.
- Elite low potential players trade value is too low and has been for years, top 6/top 4 low arguably isn't, and franchise low definitely isn't, just elite low.
- Can't edit players position, player type, gear in franchise mode (not sure if this was on purpose)
- Can't edit players height and weight in edit player (not sure why this was taken out years ago if many of the players heights and weights are outdated, particularly prospects)
- Forward positions have zero effect on line chemistry
- Defense position (RD or LD) has zero effect on line chemistry, and every single NHL defenseman is either RD/LD or LD/RD

There’s an abundance of issues. The EA mod just said it’s not an overnight fix which is true. But how did a bug like the scouting bug even make it to the release? Did they not test the FM mode? And the huge amount of bugs in BAP, did they not test the convos/challenges? Nearly every one is broken for me. Same goes for being eligible for the Calder even if I’m in my 5th season.
not to mention the absence of the junior season before the draft. Getting picked 1st overall when only playing 4 games? That’s pathetic
That’s the issue. He is just giving stock answers at this point. None of these issues need to be “replicated”. All you have to do is fire up the mode and before even making any roster or personnel moves it is all right there. On top of it these are all things that worked fine last year. I would be shocked if we saw any fixes or improvements at all to franchise mode. This team clearly wants us all plying CHEL and ultimate team
Community ManagerIf we only wanted you guys to play other modes, we wouldn't even have Franchise Mode in the game. The idea we're trying to force you away from the mode that has had a huge amount of work put into it is not true at all. We hate that you all are experiencing bugs, but we don't have any other details currently as bug fixes aren't announced until we have a patch released. Sometimes that is announced the day before it releases. That's why there is no other information currently. We'll need to wait until a future update is about to release before knowing what will be addressed.
Add Kraken to Create a team option names and a logos; don't be so lazy EA
Great game ea!! Spent about 2-3 hours editing the rosters and POOF! All just disappeared and it reset itself to the original October 15th roster. No where to be found in the saved rosters either.... absolutely unbelievable how broken this game is....
