NHL 21 starting Be a pro at 16 or lower

Hey, I was wondering if, in the new be a pro career mode, we could choose to start our player in the Canadian Hockey League at 15 or 16 years old, or if it is now forced to be at 17 with only few games before the NHL Entry Draft. I have'nt see the option to start at 15 or 16 like the previous NHL games, and it starts to scare me a bit. I'd love to be able to start my career at a young age, to not get draft after only 5 games. I hope that, if it isn't implanted in the game right now, it could be in a next update. I don't understand why they would've remove it ?

Thanks.

  • Had this problem too. I would love to start as a 15 year old goalie to get my stats higher before the NHL. Playing against AI in net is cancer so I wanted to mitigate that. EA takes random * out of their game for no reason.

  • @vst_laurent EA took the meaning, and logic out of BAP and FM this year.

Especially when they supposedly launched a “revamped” BAP. You cannot start in the Canadian junior leagues. You cannot play any games in the juniors (excluding the 4ish games before the draft)

You cannot get sent down to the AHL/Jrs for more seasoning/ice time, experience, development etc. You are simply scratched and given 1000x second chances.

They removed a lot of features this year. Their reasoning for removing all these important core features, is to cater to the player. They want you to be a superstar, no matter what. You are supposed to become the next Gretzky, mcdavid, etc. You aren’t allowed to play roles anymore.. ie grinders, enforcers, etc. You HAVE to be superstars, even if you try to play badly.

Basically, they ruined the game mode. It’s sad and pathetic. They took our money, and we received broken game modes. At least with cyberpunk, they gave refunds. Hopefully they set a new standard, and refunds are a normal thing when games like nhl 21 are released, being as broken and awful as they are
