NHL 22 Threes Eliminator Not Working

Product: NHL 22
Platform:Xbox Series X
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I’m playing NHL 22 on Xbox series x. I can play threes eliminator drop in matches on world of chel with random people but when I try to play with a friend, we can’t play.
What happens when the bug occurs? It will search for a match and then it just gets stuck on Round 1 screen.
What do you expect to see? Advance to screen where it shows what players are playing for each team
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online

What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 05:25PM
What is your time zone? GMT (UTC)

    For better transparency let us acknowledge what has been done in this forum post.

    • An issue was raised to us here players are freezing during Threes Eliminator when playing with a friend
    • In the past, we've seen players get around this by changing their profile picture. Our goal is to help get you back into the game by finding workaround fixes while we alert the team of the issue
    • We've gathered account examples and submitted it to the team
    • This is currently under investigation by the NHL team.

    Once the game starts loading from the dressing room, disconnecting will cause a loss. How frequently is this happening to your club?

I From my experience you only get a loss if you disconnect after the puck drops. If a team doesn’t want to play you and they dashboard before it drops they do not get the loss. This is different though all 3 members of my club froze while entering the arena after a min of waiting we all dashed. This happens very often and we always do the same thing although this particular time we were given a loss.

    I had the same thing happened 

    I played 3s eliminator as a drop in a few games with no issues 

    As soon as we played As a club the freezing and disconnects kicked in again 

    Played 2 games and restarted 4 times and we just gave up 

    I was working o...k few weeks ago but it seems like it's back again

    @Bo0ozzer 

    What system are you all playing on? If it's Xbox, do any of you have custom gamerpics? If so, try using a default one. Also, just in case this is related, try the workaround here.

    I'm on Xbox series s and had a custom pic and changed it and no changes

    I've followed this thread from the beginning and have attempted any changes suggested by pretty much anyone

    Just like others the freezing up and glitching disconnects cleared for about a week when everyone was commenting here stating threes eliminator is working again
    I actually commented as well
    But I'm afraid it seems like it's flared up again
    I play with about 5 others as well all on Xbox
    They have the exact same issue
    4 out of the 5 gamers have default gamer pics

    Any other suggestions or updates would be appreciated

    Is it possible to get that last person to update their gamerpic to see if that helps?

    why is this a "fix"? how about ea actually fixes the problem and doesnt suggest work arounds....like mentioned the freezing and having to dashboard is bad again!
