nhl 23 on pc
hello dear developers. I know that NHL is not released on PC. you said that if there is demand, you will return the series to the PC. so I know a lot of people who would like to play this wonderful...
I get your point, but some of us love the ease of use with consoles. There's also the avoidance of people using mods and hacks. As far as outdated hardware goes, the new consoles are getting closer to high end PCs. Personally, the difference in graphics isn't a big deal at all. My days of tinkering with PCs are behind me. I just want games to play great and look good. Consoles are a perfect fit for that. I definitely get not everyone feels the same. PC players want the highest performance possible. Should the day come when the move to a PC version makes all the work that goes into that worth it, chances are good it'll happen.
If EA cant prevent mods and hacks, then why does Fifa/madden exist on pc? If EA dont want to let more people play their NHL games then stick em to consoles. A new PC vs a new console is barely fair. The pc crush a console with a bigger game(like a big fps, mmo ect, all day long. After some time/years the console fans starts to sound like a small jet. Like they have in previous gens and still will. You are forced to buy sub each month just to play the only nhl game that is somewhat close to good. But with the PC wouldnt have to, and the pc fans still running smooth. Happy customer again.
Just out of curiosity, why do you care if people mod the game? Fifa, NBA 2k, PES have all been able to pull in huge sales numbers despite their games being heavily modded year after year. Time to get with the times and stop making excuses.
As a console online player I care. I don’t want opponents modding/hacking the game to their advantage.

Modding/hackig seem to be the worst problem with gaming on PC, basically the one thing that made me stay away from playing PC.
You never know if it's fair play or cheat.
But I guess console ain't totally free from that neither.
But console can never (?) compete against PC when it comes to get the most out of a game.
Console versions are obviously not free from hackers and cheaters but the capabilities of PC users would be much much worse!
THIS!
I love the simplicity of my console. A few hundred bucks every few years to upgrade is worth it IMO. I haven’t upgraded to a PS5 yet though because of availability and the fact the majority of EASHL players are still playing the PS4 version. I’ll probably upgrade to a PS5 for NHL 23 but I bet the majority of players will still be playing the PS4 version of the game. NHL 24 is probably when the majority will be on PS5. It’ll be a very similar transition of the player base as it was for PS3 to PS4.
The graphics aren’t much of a difference anyway, especially for EASHL where actual gameplay is the priority.
Even if/when the game is available for PC I’ll still be a console player as I haven’t had a PC in years and simply don’t have any need for one in the future.
Both can coexist and do in about 95% of games. Problems with this(NHL) or MLB is they bring back an old and dying war of consoles vs PCs. A war thats all but non existent but for a handfull of games. Most companies realize theres more money because you hit broader markets doing multiple platforms and not just 1 or 2 consoles,

"2009 was the last PC port. Its been a decade and some.... They did state numbers but if they are going off 09 I mean those numbers arent even relevant anymore. "
That was a low effort port.
PS3/360 NHL09 had the new EASHL 6v6 online multiplayer, first year it launched.. PS2/PC NHL09 didn't get it. So I'm sure the numbers weren't good and everyone eventually moved to the console version with EASHL once word got around.
Then I'm sure EA thought.. "Wow PC sales sure sucked, no one plays on PC anymore I guess."
No, it's because the PC version didn't have the best feature.
