Honestly, EA is just too lazy to port it at this point. They can't even fix their own games, innovate on their games, or give proper updates with each game. Let alone port it to PC. I mean how hard would it be to let a player in 'Be a Pro' choose which team they want to sign with. Give players a better free agency experience, like negotiating contracts, stuff like that, so that they can choose to lower their earnings to play with a team they'd like to play with. Nope they just expect you to either accept the one random offer, or save abuse in order to attempt to play where you want to.
But if there was a way to improve the amount of money they make from micro transactions, they'd work on that in a heartbeat.
If they ever do plan to release it on PC, I'd buy it though. Otherwise, I only ended up playing because of the Game Pass. I haven't bought an NHL game since 09.
I don't want to offend anyone at EA but the least we could do is to have an official statement from EA about why NHL will not be released on PC. Because the answers of the Community Managers for years, at best, do not satisfy us ...
We want with numbers WHY it cant happened, at this point we never had a CLEAR answer, just some "we think the market is to little", well we don't think that and we are tired to wait for nothing...
And no, we will not buy 1 console for 1 game. It's not just a question of money or performance, the pc is more convenient, that's all.

The details that have been provided in this thread, and here in an older, lengthy thread are being relayed from talks with the dev team. These reasons have been discussed at very great length so I won't go into them again. It really does come down to a small PC market for hockey games.
"Small PC market for hockey games" ? Really, How do you calculate your stats?
It's not like the last NHL on PC was recent. You have no idea of the demand for this game on PC. Surveys? Petitions? You know very well that doesn't mean anything, most players like me won't even vote. Your stats are based on old NHL 09 datas, and your mod and hack reasons are based on old mentality.
Seriously, you are completely overwhelmed. As a developer are making yourself look incompetent by not porting the game to PC.
You are still not going to make me believe that the game is developed on console XD
And with your latest engine, it would be simply stupid not to take the opportunity to release the game on PC.

Again, it's not that the game can't be ported to PC, but that's not all there is. This has been explained many times in the various threads regarding this issue. You're welcome to read back through those threads to get the whole story.
