NHL 94 Rewind

Likewise, I preordered a physical copy through Amazon and never received a code. Part of the appeal for preordering was to get NHL ‘94 Rewind. I feel duped and misled by this false advertising.

Please please please please pretty please make this available to the masses and make it online too!!! I'll be your best friend EA

Instructions on how to download the game can be found here.

If you do not have access to downloading the game from your console, please try visiting the Xbox or PlayStation store via the web to see if you can add it to your account from there. 

In order to access this content, you must have redeemed the pre-order code from the retailer you purchased the game from. This would have either been on the receipt from a physical retailer or emailed to you. Please check your junk/spam/promotional folders within your email address to see if it was accidentally filtered there.

If you are unable to locate the email and pre-ordered from Amazon, please provide me your details below so we can pass it up to our respectable teams to coordinate with Amazon.

I have been in contact with Amazon's customer support and they can't help whatsoever. I preordered my physical copy of NHL '21 on October 2, for the Playstation 4 (PSN ID: King_Ouzer), and never received an email for a code, nor does accessing the PS Store on the PS4 or online work for me.

So if Amazon doesn't provide us with a code, where are we supposed to get it from and how am I going to get to play for something I'm supposed to receive as a preorder bonus? This seems like false advertising.

I pre ordered a physical copy of NHL 21 for the Xbox One on Amazon. They never sent a code for NHL Rewind. 

Contacting EA Support has been utterly useless, as they will direct the blame on the retailer, in this case, Amazon. As others who experienced the same problem who pre-ordered physical copies through Amazon, I spent a good portion of my day with their customer support team, who relayed that they did not receive any promo codes to redeem NHL ‘94 Rewind for pre-order purchases.

So word to the wise, don’t waste your time creating a ticket with EA Support, they’ll absolve themselves of any responsibility for their company’s errors. And they’ve offered zero solutions to customers who are contacting EA through other channels.

I've wasted so much time with this simple issue that someone could have resolved immediately. I mean seriously how many of us could this have affected? give us the freaking code already..

Also preordered from Amazon on 10-2-20. Never received the code and have confirmed with their marketing and promotions team that they don’t have them. 

An update to provide from EA's unhelpful live chat support:

This particular EA chat support technician, Jatin, stated that the pre-order bonus of NHL '94 Rewind was only available for those who pre-ordered the game directly from a first party retailer, that being directly from Microsoft or Sony and their respective online stores.

I was given this false pretense despite the fact that EA's website for the pre-order bonus of NHL '94 Rewind never disclosed that the game will only be available from specific retailers.

That's exactly what their own website states.

I also pre-ordered from Amazon on 10/12.  Like others have mentioned, nowhere did promotion state you had to order from a specific retailer.

I realize this isnt a professional comment but why dont you guys wait untill December when you release this as a paid game so we can just buy it. It takes congress less time to resolve aan issue.

It's been five days since we were promised to receive NHL '94 Rewind, and two days without any communication other than "it is being looked into." 

What is there to look into? We are being given the run around, as I've been in contact with multiple levels of support members at EA who are clueless on the matter and keep blaming the retailer (Amazon) for not supplying redeem codes to customers. Meanwhile, Amazon's support team has no solution either because they received no promo codes.

I have to agree. There was an easy fix here - show your proof of purchase, receive a code, everyone walks away happy.

Instead literally every person has been given the runaround by EA and Amazon. As a person who has played EA games since they only had the NHLPA license, I am severely disappointed. They have abandoned a large group of loyal gamers.

I pre ordered from Eb games and I don’t have nhl 94 either trying to figure out where to find it?

It’s been 3 days since we were provided the update that said they should have a resolution very soon. Just wondering what’s going on??
