What's sad is that, at this point I would even be ok with a simple port to PC and we can't even get that after now 10 years. 10 years with no PC hockey game. Not even a port.
Why not just do the win10 Microsoft Play release. They dont even need a full port just enough to stabilize it across various chipsets/cards.

To add onto this, EA and Microsoft already have an agreement with the EA vault/subscription service (forget the name off hand). I'm unsure if this is a negative or a positive for the implication of play anywhere but I suspect the reason it has not come to PC is due to EA taking a "only in a zero risk environment will we put the resources in to make this happen". This is why I believe many people want it to go to Frostbite, again I’m unsure of the realities of this, but it has been insinuated that frostbite makes porting to PC easier.

I would even buy a controller to play NHL on my iPhone like NBA 2k has done every year
