For me the most important changes to NHL 23 creation zone would be:
- FIFA face creator program would not be bad, but at least give us more faces and options for facial hair etc, there is a lot of things missing right now.
- Updated list of cities that are on top of this thread
- Make it possible to use (or upload) more logos when creating teams - even the ability to use letters instead of a logo
- Update the options when creating jerseys, pants, gloves, socks and goalie equipment
- The possibility to change and edit players, lines etc in the National teams selections to World Championship etc.
Extra:
- Fix the bug that when you use the second or third logo on the front of the jersey on a created team, the home crowd wears Anaheim Ducks logo instead
- Fix the bug when a created team (with full of womens) cant play a Women national team in play now mode for example
@MV75 When it comes to cities, is there a reason we can’t just have it be blank so we can type in our own city?
I absolutly think its would be great to have the option with blank/make it possible to us to put what we want there.
The benefits with EA putting the cities in the game is that we have the announcer to actually say the name of the city.
Hopefully we get more vintage logos to NHL 23. In here is list of new logos which would be able in use team creation zone in NHL 23. Hopefully some of these logos will added to NHL 23. In addition I hope that, EA Sports will to the game also all AHL logos to creation zone. If new logos not add to game, hopefully we can self upload logos to NHL 23.
Interesting see can we create in NHL 23 russian- and belarusian players and teams. It's also interesting see will EA Sports add new russian- or belarusian players to alumni teams. Or will they remove it all russian and belarusian players from the alumni teams.
I think they will have it like it is now on NHL 22.
No Russian or Belarussian national team.
About adding new alumni players from those countries, not this year.
I hope that situation is same like end of NHL 22 . I mean that we still can create russian- and belarusian players and teams to NHL 23 but, national teams has been removed.
You have talk about that we need to get possibility edit national team rosters in the NHL 23. It would be awesome but, that would help too if we could use rosters of IIHF world championships -,world junior championships and womens world champioships in team creation. Another what help lot of would is possibility use numbers in team name. Would be nice create for example:
- Canada olympic team 1998
- Finland olympic team 2022
- Finland WC teams 1995, 2011, 2019 and 2022
- Euro Hockey Tour rosters for each tournamentThese could be named the following if we can use numbers in team creation.

Finland OG 2022
Finland EHT1, EHT 2* , ...
* number mean which EHT tournament is at issue. EHT1- Finland EHT tournament , EHT 2 mean Switzerland tournament and etc...I dont´ see why they would take away the options to create players from Russia or Belarussia. The national teams is enough.
I really hope that EA will level up the customization and the possiblily to edit rosters connectedt to the IIHF licence, otherwise its almost a waste option in the game, that no one would play a lot, because its not fun and you cant edit so it will be fun and playable multiple times.
Yes, numbers should be an option when you create a team. There is clubs in Europe that uses numbers, like Hv71 and in Finland there is a lot of them.
Like VG-62, LeKi-75, LuKi-82, Et-Po 72, Kiekko-67, PK 83, KK-81 and in Slovakia there is HC 19 Humenne and HK 95 Povazska Bystrica. There is even Czech clubs like HC Poruba 2011.
