Online versus lag

Is anyone else experiencing lag online? My ping and connection is good, but it lags in between whistles and when play resumes the lag between the screen and my controller is way behind and it takes about 10 seconds to catch up, while the play is going at 5 times the gameplay to catch up

    Hi there, @bertburr.

    Online Versus games are played on a peer to peer connection. This means either you or your opponent are the host since you're not playing on our servers. If either one of you has any connection issues, both will feel it. Is this happening in every Online Versus game you play?

    @EA_Aljo I can usually get the first period in and then lag every faceoff even when the connection and ping is great. Playing on PS4. The fan speed is 100%. I think the processor is working too hard.

    Hello, @Chasedog27,

    Do you play on a wired or wireless connection? Also, has it been a while since you power cycled your equipment? If so, try doing it now with these steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
