Sorry for the delay, here is the video. https://youtu.be/a9sbnRzEo2c
Thanks for the video. I'm not seeing how your players are sluggish.
At the 32 second mark, you're on the PK. They aren't going to apply as much pressure. You also control a player out of position and cover the shooter instead. You're taking 77's position so they back off. You also comment about how your players are slower. They are on the PK so those players could have also been fatigued more.
You seem to be relying heavily on cross-crease one timers from up close. Taking that shot from farther back is going to be more successful at catching the goalie out of position.
You also should pass more. That's why your opponent is getting the puck from you easily. You don't use your defenders and seem to be forcing the puck through the neutral zone when you can pass back to an open defender and create open lanes for better offensive zone entry.
The missed one timer at 1:34 is most likely due to his stick having just passed through another player's leg a moment before. When this happens, you can't play the puck for a few moments.
The trip at 2:40 was caused by incidental contact so it's not going to cause a penalty.
Thye spiderman save at 2:55 was actually a deflection from the defender.
At 2:57, Leetch is reacting, but the puck is bouncing. His stick also appears to pass through the leg of the other player. Which, again, means he can't affect the puck with his stick.
At 3:05, which CPU isn't reacting?
At 3:49, you're doing a lot of "skillzone" defense. CPU players don't take any action against the puck carrier. Switching to the player that can best defend against the carrier will give you more opportunities to cause a turn over or break up the play since you can manually poke, stick lift and hit. CPU players will not perform these actions.
At 5:40, the shot is delayed because the LD is fading away. He's drifting back a bit. This is going to cause a weaker shot.
At 5:55 I'm not seeing any figure skating. He has a player in good position for the intercept at 5:59.
At 6:32, how are the players not reacting? You pick up the puck and skate it into your goalie. You could have turned to your right or passed the puck away instead.
At 6:44, where is the figure skating? You're keeping up with him. Your AI teammate knocks the puck loose, they pick it up again, you hit them, but their forward momentum carries their body down the boards while your player is recovering from the hit. You should have anticipated they would beat you to the puck and angle your player to farther ahead of where they were skating down the boards to cut off their forward movement.
At 7:21, the missed one timer could have been due to the pass being charged too much. Not saying there's no issue here though. It also looks like a saucer pass which is going to be a bit harder to connect cleanly with.
At 8:07, the delay looks a lot longer when slowed down. It also could be due to not fully having control of the puck yet. This one is also curious, but I don't see how it has to do with any delay as I'm realy not seeing delayed movements from your players.
At 8:47, that probably should have been a penalty, but it also could have been incidental contact. Which, doesn't trigger a penalty.

Come on … there is something wrong. The most things happen cause of the Lag. I played Squad Battles offline and im always Top 100 or 50. I have games that work correct and I have in these gmaes none of that problems. And the Ping is the same. There are games whre I have no chance cause im slow and delayed.
Here an example: At 5:40, the shot is delayed because the LD is fading away. He's drifting back a bit. This is going to cause a weaker shot.
He drifts backwards cause of the lag cause he didnt know what happens …
Soecond example: At 3:49, you're doing a lot of "skillzone" defense. CPU players don't take any action against the puck carrier. Switching to the player that can best defend against the carrier will give you more opportunities to cause a turn over or break up the play since you can manually poke, stick lift and hit. CPU players will not perform these actions.
The opponents CPU players attack like ther is no tomorrow and every collision ends in that the puck is by the opponent. A plyer must only be near mine and he takes away the puck automaticly.
I'm playing that game very long and I can notice when something is wrong and thats the case!
Thats all excuses from EA. There are problems and I'm not the only one with these problems.
Whe a player gets the Puck the indicator should be on him and not 0.5 sec later. That is real and you see it in the video. Same happens to all aother inputs in such games. All is late, change player is late, you get not the nearest player to the puck, pokecheks are late and you get more penaltier and cross.crease goes through my players.

At 5:40, you are taking over control of the player and causing him to back up. That's not lag.
As far as the issue with Gretzky goes, I'm going to look into that further. I'll let you know what I find out.
Your opponent could be using strategies that counter yours. Also, your choice not to control defenders resulted in multiple goals being scored against you. He chooses to control his defenders and breaks up your plays when you're setting up for a cross-ice one-timer. It's very predictable play as you attempted the same move every time. So, while you think his players are faster, he's actually in better position because he already knows what you're going to do.
Can you show me where player switching is late? Besides Gretzky. I'll have more on that later.
When are you not getting the player closest to the puck?
When are pokechecks late?Where are you taking penalties when you feel you shouldn't be?
Where are cross-crease passes going through your players?
I too have been playing this series a very long time. Over 20 years now. These aren't excuses. I'm explaining game mechanics. The outcome of this game wasn't due to lag. They beat you by 4 goals. It would be good to see them all, but from the ones you showed, there were multiple instances where he had excellent chances due to you not controlling your defense.

Here another Video from an online game against a Czech. Games against Czechs are near impossibel to play … always lag, slow and inputs do not respond.
Please explain again that I'm too dumb to play, I think this time I'm too dumb to change the player indicator in time. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG AND THE VIDEO SHOW THAT ALL IS DELAYED! FIX IT! Every Input is delayed too, I cant defend, cant pass cant turn etc
- Codo375 years agoRising Adventurer
And here a video when the game works correct … indicator changes to the pass reciever before the shot. Not like my video from yeserday that the indicator changes after the player recieves the puck. This is a clear sign that something is wrong with tha game or the connect. So what do you say now? Whats the next excuses or what did i wrong this time?

How mnay examples of whats right or wrong do you need? There is something wrong and I know a lot of players that have the same problems. Sometimes it's the same in squadbattles too, and it's an offline mode. I play a game and lose 5-3 and play the same game again and win 15-2 … cause something wrong with the code or whatever. One game delayed and it happend the same all game like in Video 1, other game is all good like video 2.

So here is the video of short passes I made at the end of another unplayable game. Since I set my ping to <20 ms every game my ping is shown between 6 and 10 ms. 9 of 10 Games I play against Czechs or Slovaks and most of them are unplayable and total delayed. I wrote with the player from the game whre I made the video, he is from Prague Czech. He told me hes shown Ping was 20 ms and he had the same problems that I have against him when he playes Swedes and Finns. There is something wrong! The shown Ping is nowhere correct to the game response. The player indicators are totaly delayed, never that are only 7 ms as I show my ping at the end of the Video. FIX THAT! There is no fair challege if connect decides most of the games.

??? It's a replay – I dont have a time machine, I,m not Doc Emmet Brown to go back … come on, don't be stupid. IT'S BROKEN!!! To make It clear I used the replay funktion.
I have posted Videos when it worked the right way and in this video it shows that the delay (PING) is nowhere near the 7 ms that were shown. In 90% of the games it's wrong. What is shown with the Ping? The connect to the next server? If thats true, then the game can't be hostet on that cause it is technical impossible that one in sweden or finland or czech an myself all have a Ping under 10 ms in the same game. To many miles or kilometers away and electricity in the wires can't be faster. EXPLAIN and don't ask any more stupid questions.

And here some exaples against a game against a Czech again … I have no chance, can't defent, can't attack, the CPU reacts not to the attackers dan is totaly passive. It has nothing to do with the strageties, its only the connect. He can drive circels all the time and I have no chance to get the puck. All they do is cross creas and I cant defend. Is that the type of gameplay you want? I'm a good player but all that is only frustrating. I have no problems to lose games but not in that style where it has nothing to do with my skill, nor the opponets skill. ITS ALL CONNECT AND ITS UNPLAYABLE! Watch the videos.
And don't come me with you plya bad defense, It's impossible with that delay but Ping showed again 7 ms.
I mad mistakes but its cause te connect is so bad.
Settings are full forchecking, high pressure, tight point etc. but the D stays calm and dosent atteck.

I totally agree with Codo37, I have exactly the same problem in rivals mode simply even though I have a stable connection with ping 21ms (by the way verified via UO trace) so the reaction of players in terms of moves, recordings, and shots is incredibly delayed, so that it is impossible play and let alone win and it is absolutely frustrating..and the important thing is that in Rush mode online the game goes without any problems ....

Thank you.
I'm not seeing any lag in the first, fourth and fifth videos. You could have stopped the goal against by controlling your defenders better. Instead, you chase to let AI players defend for you. AI defenders don't take any action against the carrier. This was done to stop what's known as "skillzone" defense. This is where you control a player away from the carrier instead of pressuring them with a human controlled player. It's fine if you want to play that way, but you're probably going to get more goals scored against as they don't poke, lift or hit.
What is your issue with the second and thrid video? That goal could have been stopped with better defensive play in the second one. In the 3rd one, you choose to pass the puck out with your goalie and turn it over. That's a risk you take by not covering the puck. From what I can see in your videos, there's no lag. The problem is you're not controlling your defenders so your opponents are easily finding open lanes due to AI players not actively defending against the carrier.
- 5 years agoI also changed ISPs twice, changed DNS servers, and opened ports and I don't know what else, and when I tried to show the delay in the video, they just didn't see any .. it's not visible, but you know them when you hold the driver yourself and play. ..

It's like I writing with a wall … How will you see lag? You can feel it if the player not reacts or the indicator changes too late. Its the same than ever with EA. Now fault by EA and no solution. It's an EA Problem!!! Thanx for nothing and excuses again. It's online unplayable most of the games. THE PING SHOWS 7 MS!!! It dosent play like 7 ms it playes like 100 ms! I want a solution. No coments from your side to the indicator things, the video shows clearly that its late and that something is wrong! FIX IT! I'm getting slowly angry …
- 5 years agoI totally agree @ Codo37 has exactly the same problem and I see the delay there and it's sad that you don't !! Or don't you want ???
- 5 years agoIt's just hard for you to point out, this delay isn't big enough to be fully recognized in the video, but it's there and it affects the game a lot! Plus, you don't even want to see it, and as @ Codo37 points out to you, and you justify it because he's playing badly, but that's just because the game is delayed !!
@EA_Aljo I have to backup @Codo37 and @MaraSGc . Beeing in your shoes dealing with those kind of problems is hard but you have to be more understanding. Feeling when you play the game is much different than just reviewing video. When you have delay approx half a second before you can control player even he is already in possesion of the puck is so frustrating. And that delay goes to everything, passing, puck handling. And when you have that kind of delay, you can be Nasher, or Eki, or Snipencelly or topshelfcookie and you would play like an amateur. And thats what you saying to Codo. I was mentioned in previous posts, I have samé problems playing finns and sweeds, sometimes it's just unplayable and I have stable ping 20ms an am on fibre optics in Prague, capitol Czech rep.
I believe we are talking about so complex issue that it cant be fixed from day2day but plese, a lot of people are having this issue, good players so dont blame players that they cant play. Thanks
