Ping is between 6 an 8 ms but always lag

I'm not seeing any lag in the first, fourth and fifth videos. You could have stopped the goal against by controlling your defenders better. Instead, you chase to let AI players defend for you. AI defenders don't take any action against the carrier. This was done to stop what's known as "skillzone" defense. This is where you control a player away from the carrier instead of pressuring them with a human controlled player. It's fine if you want to play that way, but you're probably going to get more goals scored against as they don't poke, lift or hit.

What is your issue with the second and thrid video? That goal could have been stopped with better defensive play in the second one. In the 3rd one, you choose to pass the puck out with your goalie and turn it over. That's a risk you take by not covering the puck.

From what I can see in your videos, there's no lag. The problem is you're not controlling your defenders so your opponents are easily finding open lanes due to AI players not actively defending against the carrier.

It's like I writing with a wall … How will you see lag? You can feel it if the player not reacts or the indicator changes too late. Its the same than ever with EA. Now fault by EA and no solution. It's an EA Problem!!! Thanx for nothing and excuses again. It's online unplayable most of the games. THE PING SHOWS 7 MS!!! It dosent play like 7 ms it playes like 100 ms! I want a solution. No coments from your side to the indicator things, the video shows clearly that its late and that something is wrong! FIX IT! I'm getting slowly angry …

The indicators look to be very quickly changing in those clips. I'm not seeing any issues here.

Can you point out exactly where the delay is visible? The player indicators are very quickly switching.

@EA_Aljo I have to backup @Codo37 and @MaraSGc . Beeing in your shoes dealing with those kind of problems is hard but you have to be more understanding. Feeling when you play the game is much different than just reviewing video. When you have delay approx half a second before you can control player even he is already in possesion of the puck is so frustrating. And that delay goes to everything, passing, puck handling. And when you have that kind of delay, you can be Nasher, or Eki, or Snipencelly or topshelfcookie and you would play like an amateur. And thats what you saying to Codo. I was mentioned in previous posts, I have samé problems playing finns and sweeds, sometimes it's just unplayable and I have stable ping 20ms an am on fibre optics in Prague, capitol Czech rep.

I believe we are talking about so complex issue that it cant be fixed from day2day but plese, a lot of people are having this issue, good players so dont blame players that they cant play. Thanks

Thanx for all the comments, I hope EA start to listen if more players can confirm that. I had games were my connect is good and I notice the other players have lag/delay. It's also no fun when I win and see the other player has no chance cause of the same problem. We all want the same chances to win or lose and not decides on the better connet, delay, lag or whatever. The trith is that most of the games are decided by that …

Yeah..i have.the same problem ...ping 26 but i feel its like 1200......i cant play Rivals...Hut Champions.. because every game i lose .not possible win game against finn or swed players.. ..please EA fix this problem...im from Slovakia 🇸🇰 ...

Was in contact with @EA_Aljo before about this issue a couple of weeks ago, it seems to get worse (Xbox One Series X, Germany). Over the holidays I took my Xbox One to my relatives (1 Gbit wired connection) and I was relegated to Rivals Divison 2 because of the terrible connection, I either won so that my opponent quit (bad connection for him?) or I lost because my opponent had a visible advantage (faster or more agile gameplay) while I had the "fat man lag".

The worst thing about the new "online search setting" is that I have to play against all those guys I blocked before due to the bad connection, <20ms is most of the time unplayable, you can just tell that you have a disadvantage even with several synergies activated. I think that the European Top 100 players on the Xbox HUT Champions Leaderboard are all good players but they all have a connection advantage (especially the guys from Eastern Europe) because I played most of them. Bottom line is, HUT Rivals as well as HUT Champions is basically unplayable for me, you have to adjust to the connect, not to your opponent. Sometimes you can forecheck aggressively and sometimes you can't because you are too slow. And if you are too slow than good luck beating someone playing the trap. You can still win but it takes the fun out of it because you know that it's not fair.

As someone who has played the NHL Series since 08, I am 100% convinced that the problem is the EA server and not my connection. The ping setting in the game is bugged and not an indicator whether the overall connection is good or bad.

And I still don't know why this issue it not escalated by @EA_Aljo, there are plenty of people complaining, what is the problem for somebody from EA to check server/network connections in Central + Eastern Europe?

There are plenty of people who are upset about this problem and I am convinced that there are people who just quit playing NHL with the same problem and without voicing their discontent.

We're currently not aware of any server issues with your region but will certainly watch for them. Did we already go through connection troubleshooting? I was looking for our history of posts, but am not finding them.

@EA_AljoI know @prospero99c since over 10 years and we met sometimes in real life. He is one of the best players I know and a nice person. We both have done all the connectin troubleshooting more than one time, we both know a lot of network settings cause of our real live job. It's 100 % not our betwork connection. We used other providers, other modems/routers … nothing helps. I testet it from diffrent locations in germany … alsways the same problems. It's for us a problem since NHL 13 … the games before was fine.

Unfortunately, there's nothing else I can do for you since you're sure this isn't a network issue. The best I can do is troubleshoot your connections. We're also not hearing from many in your region about this so we're not aware of any issues there.

We have troubleshoot our connections, they are fine. A good answer would be if you and EA are telling us the server locations. I think that would clear everything. I will send another traceroute later … the problem is clearly on the EA site nor on ours but we know for years that EA will not do something against. No fun to play …

Here is the EA Traceroute protocol. It shows 90 ms … my NHL says 6 to 10 ms connect. The 90 ms is like the game plays … explain!

Can you run the test again using the European IP that is listed in the instructions? The high ping times could be due to the distance of the server your testing with.

That's not something I can really explain. If your tests show no issues and you video doesn't show any issues, we can't really track down what is happening. Do you notice the lag when you win games as well or is it only in losses?

Its in wins too … not only in losses but its impossible to win with the lag against a good player with good connect or whatever.

I haven't been able to find why you'd be lagging and we've exhausted all possible troubleshooting. I'm very sorry, but I don't have anything else to suggest.

In game, you're connecting to a server closer than the one you're testing. That's why you see the lower ping. You're also only sending 7 packets. You need to send 100 to get more accurate results.
