player AI
this goes along with a wish list but most of this is complaining. all I want is for EA to fix the stupid player team AI. please, please, PLEASE fix this. for God's sake fix it. my in game appleton ha...
this freaking game sucks. that's all I can say about it. I put my human sliders for goalies all the way to 100 to try and make up for the rest of the AI but he still has gotten scored on while I was on the ice. and to boot, I have done 34 shots in 3 games and only scored 3 freaking goals. EA stop amping up the computer AI and dumbing down the teammate AI when the player is on the ice. that is just not fair. I can understand having a bad night or just out right get beat if a goalie is better that yours but not every freaking night and sometimes have a good game. I thought you made the game so people can have fun, well it's no fun
i'm about ready to delete this freaking game from my PS. i put the first 3 goalie sliders for human player to 100 and the last 2 at 0 and i'm still getting scored on. WTF. this is BS. Do i have to score 1000 goals in my rookie season EA? please patch this crap and stop dumbing down the player team for God's sake. for crying out loud, I just played the sharks and their goalie emond is a 63 over all, 63, and he stopped more shots from me and my team than my goalie, vanecek, who is an 83 over all. come the freak on EA. If someone can blow out every team when everything is even in the sliders on superstar then so freaking be it. not say I can cause I know I can't but getting blown out by every team sucks ya know. what the heck do I have to do. I don't care about getting scored on when I'm on the ice but EVERY ONE. in 1 game when I simulate to my next shift, my CPU team on the ice MAY get scored on once or twice (usually once but sometimes none), but every goal is when I'm on the ice. then I can shoot 20 to 30 shots and maybe score once or twice? come on. please fix this crap. if anyone else has this issue, which I know they do, or knows how to fix this crap please let me know
What do you have for your AI slider settings?

It'll be easier to show you. I just finished another game and have played 6 total games in the season. I have scored 7 goals with 68 shots. each of my goalies have played 3 games. one has 102 saves, 108 shots against, and gave up 6 goals (4 to 5 when I'm on the ice) and the other has 115 saves, 121 shots against, and gave up 6 goals (all but one was when I was on the ice).
You have goalie reaction time set to 50 while your shot power is down to 28…. And your shot accuracy is down there also.. that means that the hardest a shot can be had a goalie will be able to stop it easily..
Try having the shot power near the goalie reaction time. I currently have mine set at 41 shot power and a 37 reaction time but I added a 43 shot accuracy. Of course you have to go with how you want the game to go, but as far as the lack of scoring, there could be your problem. Just start off at 41 shot power and 43 accuracy and a 37 reaction time for the goalies. If you are scoring too little, then widen the gap, if you are scoring too much, then lessen the gap. I’m just throwing out these numbers as a starting point.. but if you want faster shots, then up the numbers accordingly. Just play with a +- 5 gap when it comes to the goalie reaction/shot power ratio. And then notice the quality of goals. If a goalie is just getting beat, then you lessen the gap. If the shooters are just too accurate with their shot selection hitting spots that only a fly can go in, then reduce the shot accuracy. If they are missing too much, then bump it by 2 or 3, then play.
the trick with messing around with sliders is that if you mess with one, it will affect other areas… so only mess with one area at a time. But in your case, you want more goals, then that’s a shooting/save reaction thing because your speed is fine at 0 and your AI and CPU strategy is fine.. Remember, if the team is not shooting enough, then bump up the Strategy slider. But leave the AI setting where it is. The CPU strategy has nothing to do with scoring, but has to do with how many opportunities they will get in a given game. Also, play the same team when doing this..this way you get a good base read. If you play Montreal and then Tampa, then San Jose, you are going to get 3 very different games because they run different strategies and have different players.
You attributes slider is at 10?? That means that the gap between the highest and the lowest is the greatest. At 0, they all are the same because there is no gap, at 10 the gap between the upper and lower is the greatest. 5 will have a good balance. Aaaaand.. your fatigue and fatigue recovery (in my opinion) is just too great. At 1/100 fatigue affect the players wont get tired.. if they do, their attributes wont suffer.. If they have a 90 speed and they can be on the ice for 15 min and still have 90 speed rating. At 100/100 fatigue affect the players will get tired faster and ratings will diminish as they are on the ice for longer periods of play. So a 90 speed rating will drop and all other ratings will drop, shot power, shot accuracy and so on. Fatigue recovery is how fast they recover. At 30 they will recover in only 1 shift.. that’s why you have people like Ovechkin playing 45 min per game.. Doesn’t get tired and recovers quickly. I use 98 fatigue affect and 8 recovery and people like Ovechkin are playing 24 28min per game and D men are playing 33 min per game. Still a lot of minutes so still refining.. but that’s where I’m at.
Try different settings then at the end of a game… look at the minutes played… then adjust.. If getting 4th liners to play is a goal.
