NHL TeamI believe the error is that we both have the same EA account as we are brothers and both were linked several years ago while we played together. Now we have different xboxes, we can play online against random people fine but can’t play each other, how would we be able to unlink one account or get around this to play together?
Community ManagerWhat happens exactly when you try to play each other? Are you getting that Failed to retrieve data error then as well? If so, when exactly does it occur? Are you able to ready up and then get the error when loading into the game or does it happen earlier? Is it occurring for both of you? Thanks!
It occurs while trying to join each other, we can send the other an invite, then once accepted they will begin o join and load into the lobby. While loading it will go through mostly everything and then the failed to retrieve data error will arrive. It does occur for both of us every time we try to join each other before we can get into the lobby.
Community ManagerAre you in different locations? Also, can both of you go to the Network Settings screen on your consoles and tell me what it says for the NAT and IPv?
We are in the same location building wise but he prefers to use his own since we are across the building from each other and that’s how we played NHL 19. My NAT is open and I have IPv4.
