I might have found a solution.
If I test my internet connection from PSN menu after every CHEL game, the error won’t occur. I have to test the connection after EVERY GAME. Not 100% sure but seems to be a fix until EA patches this which might take forever.
I'm posting this the 3rd and final time. If you choose to ignore me, enjoy your error codes.
To the rest of you, there is a solution that has worked 100% for me and for my friends who had this issue.
1. Press PS button
2. Go to settings
3. Go to internet settings and test your internet
This will throw you out of any groups so you will have to rejoin after this has done.
4. Go back to the game when the testing is over (no restarting needed) and you are on the main menu
5. You can now play at least 1 CHEL game without problems.
I suggest repeating these steps every time you have played 1 game. There also seems to be some kind of time limit how long it works. If you have been searching opponents 10+min there is a chance it won't work.
E: I also suggest that if you wan't to do modifications to the player, do it after the game and before testing the internet. You should only go to the dressing room and press yourself ready as everything else including customizing player in the dressing room etc. might give you error code.
Good luck.

Didn't work for me. Played one game of Ones, followed your steps and still got the Dressing Room Error message.
This is not a user problem, it is an EA problem. If and when they fix this issue, maybe I'll come back to actually play this broken game, - Anonymous7 years ago
Currently can't get into a 6 v 6 game with my club because one of us gets dropped from the game as it loads in with the dressing room error. We've tried about 8 times now and it kicks a different player every time.

I think EA put too much effort into those useless hockey bags and forgot the important stuff
