I'm having the same issue and it's maddening. I customized the gameplay quite a bit so it's really irritating to have EVERYTHING go back to a defualt setting.
I also can't find any way to purchase upgrades for my pro. Is the only option now to wait and slowly earn your way out of being a low '70's ranking? So the game itself sucks and I'm stuck sucking at it rather than being able to upgrade my skills? Awesome.
