I have to continue this thread as I have played MANY more Squad battles. I am not sure if you work for EA or if you are just a forum moderator but this is ridiculous. The teammate AI is completely broken (not that it was ever right but to be honest it was better in NHL20). EVERY single thing they do is wrong. They stand there and DO NOTHING on defense. How can you justify this? ITS BROKEN and needs to be fixed. The opposing AI skates right past my players like they are not even on the ice. HOW can EA say this is correct? I am at the point where I am going to uninstall this game. How can EA be OK with this? My AI teammates skate over loose pucks, miss easy rebounds, literally skate away from the puck, literally skate away from the opposing AI at times, SKATE OFF SIDES CONSTANTLY, and worst of all (if that is even possible) BLOCK EVERY OFFENSIVE FACEOFF SHOT I TAKE, like they programmed into the game to get in the way of every point shot taken. I am at the end of my rope. I can't for the life of me believe that ANYONE who plays this game is OK with the teammate AI play. PLEASE, get this message to EA, I don't want to uninstall but this is ridiculous.

And another thing EA broke...LINE CHANGES BY MY AI TEAMMATES. OMG, they change up when the opposing team is coming over the redline. It was never an issue, it is now. I have given up game winning goals because my AI teammate changes up when he shouldn't. BROKEN.

And, don't even get me started about CHEL. When you are locked it is even worse. MY GOD, this game would be sooooo amazing if EA would simply tweak the AI teammate play.

    It is intended that the AI players don't hit, poke, stick lift, etc. This is to combat the many complaints of "skillzone" defense where you let the AI play defense for you. The community wanted defense to be more manual so that you were more accountable for your actions. This also raises the skill gap. I'd recommend that you manually control your defenders more. Also, try setting your strategies to counter how your opponent is playing.

    You can also control line changes better by freezing the puck with your goalie and manually changing lines. This way you get fresh legs on the ice and can better anticipate when they'll change. Most people throw the puck back out with their goalie. This leads to players being more tired so chances are good they're going to change lines as soon as they can.

    You're also welcome to post video of any issues you're seeing. We'll review them and provide some details.
