Re: Question About Custom Players in Franchise Mode

@Socair Thanks for the reply. However, I'm not looking to create an entire team. I want to create 2-3 players only and add them to my new franchise team. The problem I'm having is that when I create these players, they either show up in the draft (which I can't draft all 3) or don't show up at all if I assign them to a CHL team.

All I want to do is create a franchise team using the expansion draft and entry draft and have a couple extra superstar players on my roster.

Yeah I understand. But that’s the only way to get the created players on your team. Short of controlling the other teams where they end up drafted so you can make trades for them.

  • @Socair okay, I have the time to create a full roster. How many players total do I need to create and do I need to create players for my AHL team? If so, how many players total in the NHL and AHL?

Well, you don’t have to create an entire roster as you can move players from other rosters on to your created team. I believe it’s just enough to fill lines, so 18 skaters and two goalies. You do not need to do anything for your AHL squad.

  • @Socairthanks for your help. Okay, I created 20 players ranging from 84-92. Where do I assign them in order for me to pick them up for my team? They're all going into the entry draft which is what I'm trying to avoid. Is there a simple way for me to create this team with all of these newly created 20 players? This is exactly what happens when I create 2-3 superstar players, they go straight to the draft. Sorry for all the questions but I'm new. Remember I'm trying to move 20 created players onto a 32nd franchise team (Seattle Dragons)

If I assign them to OHL and CHL Prospects etc. etc. they also show up in the draft. "Move Players" doesn't show the Seattle team I created. It just shows the normal NHL teams only.

    This is very confusing.

Just go into creation zone and create your team there. You can add created and existing roster players to the roster. Then when you start a Franchise choose to use your custom team and sub that team into the league.
