So, the basic issue here is the trade system isn't realistic, not logic. Its actually overly logical. The CPU sees that you have cap space and a team needs to free space, so they offer crappy trades, that make sense to a PC not to a person.

The second issue of the cap gap, is not something that can really be monitored by the CPU. Most of what you are talking about isn't logical and PCs can't "think" illogical.
