Season mode in playable

Playing season mode on Xbox one for nhl 20 and it won’t progress the game past sim to the next game. It freezes and kicks me out to the main nhl load screen.  Please offer a solution

It's really difficult to pinpoint why this happened. You could try deleting the personal saved data. You may lose your season though. If you want to do this, highlight the NHL 20 icon and hit the Menu button. It's the one to the right of the guide button. Then choose, Manage game & add-ons. Then, under Saved data, delete the save with your gamertag on it. If you delete from everywhere, that can wipe out your settings, rosters and any offline saves. I would try just deleting from your console for now. Then try playing again and that save should be downloaded from the cloud. However, I can't guarantee that.

    Hi there, @grahamgordon.

It sounds like your save is possibly corrupt. We see this happen most often when you shut down your console or switch to another app without saving and quitting first. Do you have an older save you can try instead?

  • I have actually tried with a season started in early November and a season just started this weekend.  In both cases it freezes.  Both times while simulating to my next game.  I’ve restarted Xbox,  and re-installed game and it’s still happening.   Been playing season mode since about 2001 and never had this happen, very strange.  I do try to do the trades as they happen in real life, could this be corrupting the season mode?
