Season Mode Trade Bug

Product: NHL 20
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I've encountered an issue where I'm unable to progress my season mode. In the season mode I play offline and have full roster control and update rosters as moves occur throughout the year. I'm basically 20 games in and go to "play next" game on the main screen and as the orange bar starts to progress it hangs and then starts making a sound and resets. Initially the issue seemed to occur upon moving Joey Keane from Hartford to Carolina for Julien Gauthier. Found a work around where I added another goalie to Carolina it seems to reset. Challenge is after the deadline it's resurfaced and extremely difficult to figure out where it emanates from. I also tried to "sim" the game/month and same issue. I've tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the game to no avail.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you go to "play" or "sim" next game the icon bar in the upper right will spin and then error out and make an odd sound (basically like a loud stuck sound) ultimately leading the game to shutdown and go back to the xbox one main screen.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to actually play, or sim the next game in the season.Other modes - 3s, play now, or franchise - work and progress fine so seems like an issue in the season mode specifically.

I'm basically 20 games in and go to "play next" game on the main screen and as the orange bar starts to progress it hangs and then starts making a sound and resets. I also tried to "sim" the game/set of games in the month and same issue. I've tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the game, also to no avail.

As you can see from others the issue seems to be a scenario that triggers all lines to go empty (unclear what specifically will trigger). Initially I was able too figure out the issue seemed to occur upon moving Joey Keane from Hartford to Carolina for Julien Gauthier. Found a work around where I added another goalie to Carolina it somehow and was able to progress, but after the deadline same issue seems to have resurfaced and it's unclear what team it's surfaced from. I've spent close to 2+ hours trying to adjust each team involved in a move in the same manner as referenced earlier (adding a 3rd goalie), adjusting their roster to minimum of 18 and then swapping one player in the lineup to see if that would reset, etc. All to no avail. 

As frustrating as this is all around, this issue looks to have initially been reported beginning in December (below).It's pretty incredible that after 25+ years of having the season option this is now not only a problem, but has taken the "team" close to 3 months to remediate? Do we have a timeline? If not, when do we expect to? This is quite frankly unacceptable. Let's try diverting a few resources from HUT. We all expect more from EA.
