Community ManagerI found out Draft Champions games are in fact on P2P servers, like you said. My mistake. Apologies for that. Does every Draft Champions game play like that? It could be due to not finding someone close to you to connect to. It's probably not played online as much as other modes so you'd have a smaller pool of players to matchmake with. My thought is that your connection may not be as good due to the distance with your opponent.
Community ManagerWhere are you located? It's possible you're far from the server for your region. If you're getting a faster connection on P2P games, you're probably connecting to someone closer to you than the dedicated server is.
Community ManagerThat would be due to the distance from the server then. You're connecting to people through P2P that are closer than the dedicated server. You're kind of right in the middle between the NW US and server the other in central US.

I've noticed the same unknown host in the first trace was losing the packets in the second trace. Is this what is causing the problem? I also see that the difference between best and worst pings is more than 100 ms. My pings in game and on xbox live is 40-50 ms on average. Im sure the ping is not different when I go between P2P and dedicated servers. I will double check the next game I play on P2P.
Community ManagerYour traces show very high pings. Did you run this on a wireless connection? If you're playing on a wired connection, you need to test on one or the results are going to be a lot different.

Thanks. The connection to your router is great. However, the second hop and all the others, show really high worst times. That's going to cause you to lag and disconnect as it means your connection is fluctuating a lot. It's starting with the node in your neighborhood. It's quite possible that node is getting a lot of traffic right now with everyone staying home. Did this just start recently?
Community ManagerThe 100% loss is just because that server isn't allowing pings. So, it's not actually losing packets.
Do you live in a pretty congested area? Maybe an apartment complex or something similar?
Community ManagerIn that case, I'd suggest contacting your ISP. Have a 100+ ping to your local node is really high.
Community ManagerWhat you're seeing is an average. Those worst pings are part of that average. When your ping is fluctuating so much, that's going to cause your connection to be unstable. You'll experience lag and possibly disconnects. Anything over 150ms is especially a problem.
Community ManagerThey are different connections so it's possible you'll have an improved connection with P2P matches as they could be a lot closer than the server you're connecting too.
Community ManagerThey are different connections. When you're connected P2P to someone close, there aren't so many hops. Your data isn't traveling through as many servers where the ping is reaching levels that will cause you to lag. Alternate DNS servers may help. What system do you play on?
I am already using google dns. This is my ping in the start and end of a online versus I just played. I felt the effects of this ping but it does not make my skating really bad. My turning is really on point. I can tell the difference. If you personally played on my console and tested it you would see what I am talking about. When I go on World of
Chel and HUT my ping is steadily around 40 ms at best. Will change a bit between that and 50 ms.
