My sliders are vastly different from yours. I noticed you have attributes at 10/10 but lowered the shot accuracy to 45. At a 10/10 attribute the Elite players will still have amazing abilities because you essentially made them into supermen. Attribute slider is like a rubber band. On the right side are the 90+ rating players and on the left are the 70 rated players. At 0/10 the rubber band is compressed and the two ends are touching. Essentially the 70s players and the 90 players will play exactly the same. But now with every tick of the slider, now those ends will get further apart. At a 10/10 you have stretched out the rubber band to the max. So now the left side of the rubber band the right side are the furthest apart. So now the 90s players are Ice hockey gods, while the 70s players are pee wee, bee hive hockey players. The gap is the greatest at this setting. I keep mine at 5, seems like the best balance. 90s are 90s and 70s are 70s.
I restarted all the sliders at 0 and played many many 20min periods against the same team. I think I spent about 30 20min periods playing with the speed, agility, shot power, accuracy, passing, AI and I would raise just one setting at a time. And noticed even at everything down to 000, My team still scored. And what was terrible that the other team still scored against me. So I knew that no matter the settings, teams will score. So I went on to Skating first and adjusted the skating speed and agility and back skating.. Then Passing was next.. with everything at 000 I played more 20min periods and what worked, what didn’t work. I don’t want them to have magnets on their sticks and tried to get some human element, but making sure that they are NHL level players. So I adjusted those sliders.
Then puck control, shooting, goalies, checking penalties and finally the AI section..
As of now, I like the balance. It’s not perfect, but its good. My games are pretty even in shots and in goals.. and right now all I really adjust is the goalie save reaction time slider. If I’m winning by too much.. I raise it. Losing by 1 too many times, then I lower it and just that slider alone seems to work. My shooting numbers are One time accuracy 41 Shot accuracy-43, shot power-39 Slap shot accuracy-39 and slap shot power-43… I find that for the most part the elite shooters will still hit an 85 MPH slap shot and the middle of the road players will still have a good shot. With the accuracy at 43 and 39.. they are missing a lot of shots, hitting the posts just like a real game.. so I like the balance. BTW, when playing goalie, the human sliders don’t do anything when it comes to shooting or checking, or penalties
I’m still working on passing.. The % is still well above the NHL average of 65-85% and the games % is at 89% for me. So just have to find a way to lower it a few more % points.
But I’m still working on them but not too much. Puck control for me is nice as CPU-57 for most all “impact” sliders. Again, human sliders don’t mean anything if you are just playing goalie.
Current AI is 0 learning, 0 User strategy.. but with CPU and BAP strategy adjustment. I am at 4-6 respectfully.. This is giving me 25-30 shots in an 8 min period. If the shot balance is too great for my team then I lower the BAP strategy to 5.. if it’s still too great, then Ill match the CPU strategy but they already have such a massive advantage that I will always keep mine a tick or two higher than the CPU.
So far its going okay, the defense AI still junk tho. Might as well tape sticks to road cones but I just have to live with the 5 or 6 one on one chances.
Glad to see you sharing your sliders here on the forums, @SuperGoalies!
I'm going to highlight this to the top of this forum so others can share their sliders and describe the type of game style they're enjoying.
