One thing I might be able to help with is the crashing you're experiencing. Are you playing on Xbox and if so, do any of you have a custom gamerpic?

Are you playing on a wired or wireless connection? Also, has it been a while since you power cycled your equipment? If so, try doing it now with these steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
- @EA_Aljo Our club has 10 players and its a problem with everyone. In fact we are all friends with dozens of players and its happening to everyone. This has been a problem since nhl20. Its to the point where we close the app and restart after every 3 tournaments to try to prevent being booted in the middle of one. This is a game/server wide issue and has been for some time.
