Hello, @Moxrox84
Have you tried tieing up instead? Personally, I use the stick tie up and it works really well. As far as interference calls go, I'll pass on the feedback for you. As always, video greatly helps so if you get any, please let me know.

I'm pink hat, as usual. I know how to tie up, stick lift...around the net I know how to battle. Prior to this version, that wouldn't be called. Wouldn't be called in any hockey level really.

Thanks. I've passed it on to the dev team. If you get any more videos, let me know.
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo Forgot I had made this thread, you can close that other one if you'd like. Here's another really glaring example

I use tie ups in every game and haven't had a slashing penalty yet. As long as you're holding down the tie up button, you shouldn't be slashing. If this is happening a lot to you, can another controller be used? I'm just curious if there's an issue with that button where it's not registering that it's being held down.

Here's another one.
I don't have an issue with slashing or high sticking because of stick lift...I don' t think that's been changed in some time, and seems fine. Like stick checking, you just don't spam it. I don't spam hits either, but this is really frustrating.

If you are worried about getting a pen, wait until the guy you are covering skates away from you before releasing it.

This hasn't really been my experience thus far. I mean, sure, there are times if my thumb slips or I don't hold the button down long enough that I get a slash, but I tie up A LOT on defense and I find it very effective. I don't really get a lot of defensive interference penalties--it's the offensive ones on a rebound shot that I miss that drive me insane.

Stick tie ups work. Sure. Now please fix net battles as they are so ineffectual as to be nearly non-existent. You seem to be low key confirming this LOL. Also, still not addressing how you can barely shove a guy in front of the net any more without getting an interference penalty. Stuff that would not be called in the actual NHL in a million years. Also stick tie ups are risky at the side of the net, I have seen interference called if the dude has one foot on the goal line.
- 5 years ago@IceLion68 The really funny part is that during the intermission, when I check my off/def/team scores, the "hints" wills say "Use (R) for Net Battle".
MF Why you think I'm in the box!!!!!- 5 years ago
