Trade logic - see post and pic

In what universe is a 1st, 3rd, and mid level top 4 NHL defensemen given up for two second rounders?

Trade logic needs a serious overhaul. Peeke is sought after by almost every team and I decline every time. I have two top6 Def on my trade block but I get this instead.

We need a mechanic to give feedback to other teams why their offers aren’t acceptable. We get sarcastic remarks from cpu gm’s, we need options to send back to them that modifies their expectations.

And why is GM reputation still not a thing? It was awesome in NHL 14. What happened?

  • @jjbyrd04I just remove everything from my trade block because it speeds up simulation, and you don’t have to deal with these horrific offers from the cpu that never stop

As for gm rep, it should be brought back. As with everything good about the offline game modes, there was no reason for it to be taken out, but for whatever reason EA felt it needed to be removed. Hopefully it can be re-introduced as a “new feature” in the future

Edit: GM Relationships also need to make a return. There is no reason whatsoever for me as Philadelphia to trade 4 no name prospects and a 2nd round pick for Kris Letang, those teams hate each other, and if that trade were to be a remote possibility, 2 first round picks would have to be involved

We definitely need a way to get rid of these annoying trade offers, even something as simple as adding a couple of more options to our responses. Another problem is that these are the kind of trades that the AI teams make with each other all the time.

GM reputations and relationships would be a nice “return feature”, at the bare minimum there needs to be different trade parameters based on conference, division and biggest rivals.
