Unable to Play online due to incorrect EA Account linked to my psn id

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this as I am at my wits end. I recently purchased nhl 20 after last playing nhl 16 about 5 years ago. I was excited to get back into the game. Unfortunately after installing the game, I saw that I needed to sign into an "EA Account" to play online. No biggie until saw the associated email, hash tags being my actual email, ###@easports.com. which is not a real email address. I saw no options to change the ea email linked to my playstation. So I worked my way through the help desk chain...

I have exhausted all options. I have submitted several web forms, spoken to ea techs via chat and phone to no avail.

I get the same reply that they cannot verify I am the owner of the ea account, so they cannot reset the email or password.

I dont recall nhl 16 requiring this sign in and I have no way to get access to the email address linked to it psnid. If am understanding the situation correctly, I can never play nhl or any ea sports title online again via my playstation? I have researched the topic and it seems like others have run into this issue, and were not successful. They had to create a new playstation id and make a new ea account to that. Can anyone here provide some insight or maybe point me in the right direction. I realise I am probably screwed but I figured it was worth a shot.

Thank you for taking the time to read my issue.

I know it hasn't been verified. That's why you need to go through the account recovery process. I'm very well aware of our policies as I have discussed them many times daily for a long time. I'm not the only one giving you this information either. So far I can see 2 other advisors told you this. You're also welcome to contact an advisor through Twitter or Facebook to see if they will give you the same response.

The questions you are asked still apply even if the hacker changed the information on your account. The answers need to match with the history of the account. Not what has been changed since your account was hacked.

  • hey been unable to link my account to my xbox one. I am able to login into origin but it just tells me the account is not linked with any systems please help

  • Yes i have followed still unable. Every time i login it still gives me the ea prompt to login to my ea account

  • It doesn’t allow me to login right then and there it just says i need to login

so i then went to my origin AND my ea account logged in did verification steps and still unable to play

After logging in to the account that has the EA Play subscription, what happens when you try to play? Also, I'm about to head out for the day. You may want to try contacting @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support. They'll look into this for you. Thanks!

  • The same that I’ve been telling you doesn’t let me play same message is prompt. Alright thanks for the help

The same thing occurs nothing changes
