Wall stumbling settings issue?

I'm having this problem where my players always stumble hitting the end boards after recovering an iced puck. I've turned the slider for this to 0 and it doesn't help; does anyone have ideas how to stop this behavior? Shouldn't this stop happening with board effects set to 0?

I'm using al_tito's sliders on all-star difficulty. the sliders call for 10s in board effect, but I've been trying to use 0 to fix this.

pic if it helps, shows my guy hitting the wall after touching the puck, and now the other team is going to pick it up.

I think the board effect slider is more about board play or being pinned. Look for a stumble effect slider. I’ll take a look at the sliders when I get home and see what else I think may help.

  • There are no sliders for when you slam into the boards; you just need to slow down or take a better angle

and I'm guessing there's no way to stop the CPU from doing this then, other than to switch control and then do that

Tweaking AI aggression might cause them to let up a bit before reaching the boards - worth a try. I know in HUT you can control their ability to pick efficiency over energy and vice versa; now I don't know for sure but having them more efficient could also mean they take wider angles to pick up the pucks

So this would be turning the aggression down then? Any idea why aggression would make them run into walls with no one else around them?

They have nothing to focus on but the puck when an opposing player isn't near (at least, that's the way I see it); only problem is they seem to get a bit of tunnel vision goin and forget the boards are there lol.

Honestly though I'm not 100% sure lowering aggression will help in this situation - more of a hail mary of sorts.Your particular problem is a unique one; I hope your issue gets fixed soon

There are two sliders for stumbles, but I haven’t tested it. Just try em out for yourself, lower them every game until you find what works best for you.
