Why do i get strange boxes of blue diagonal lines?

I am having a problem with the visuals showing me random squares of blue diagonal lines randomly  on the ice, or i get opponents with a red triangle in the normal circle around an a oppenent?

anyone else having these issues, when i do it casue the game to lag. However this is in both online and offline doesnt seem to make any differnece in game play.

if you look at this pic it shows the blue lines in the bottom left of the tv screen ?

    When you started the game and it asked what type of player are you, did you click beginner or never played NHL before? Because I believe the box has something to do with teaching you how to forecheck the opponent, ant the red is letting you know to watch out someone is going to hit you... Sorry if it's not helpful, but I saw another post explaining it better, I'll try and find it for you
