    I fixed this issue on Xbox and another person went through the respective process on PlayStation and here’s the fix. 
    DISCLAIMER

    You wont lose your online progress doing this but you WILL lose anything offline related along with all of your preferred camera setting and such, so I wanted to give you a heads up.

    Go to Settings, Storage, Saved data, NHL22.

    Delete the files.

    Open the game and it will seem that you open the game for the first time but your EASHL progress WILL NOT be deleted.

How do I fix this without having to delete the game.

    Have you both gone to Rosters from the main menu and changed to the Active Roster?

        Can you let me know if these steps fix it for you? Clearing saved data will delete local saves. HUT and CHEL progress is saved to our servers.

        How to power cycle your Xbox console:

        1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
        2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

        Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

        1. Plug the console power cable back in.
        2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

        Clear Mac Address

        1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

        Clear the saved game data:

        1. Open the Settings menu at the top of the dashboard.
        2. Select Storage, then select System Storage.
        3. Select Saved Data.
        4. Choose a game to access the game's saved data.
        5. Press the Options button and select Delete.
