This isn't my find. I found it on a random google search but it DID work for me:

Go to your browser history and look for the page that lets you link a steam account
Using a new account, or one without steam guard (not sure if either matter) sign into the steam store website
Go back to link tab and link the unused steam account to your Apex account
Launch Apex in Administrator mode (not sure if that's important, I didn't test it)
