Does the original Battlefront still have online play?
If not, is there a reason to own it? I really want it for PC but do not wan to waste money

The online servers for Star Wars Battlefront (2015) are still up and running. I haven't played it in quite a while myself, but there are still people online playing these days.

Cool thanks Kent! So no matter what if I buy the game I will have at least a few months of playing online?
So what happens when online play is disabled? Will that happen this year?

I haven't heard if there are plans to shut down the servers any time soon. Usually we'll make an announcement ahead of time when a game's online services are ending, but we don't have any details on when or if that might be happening with Star Wars Battlefront.
We also have a Service Updates website that lists the dates for the end of online services for our games. If you're ever curious if a particular game's servers have been shut down that's a good place to check.
