Mad Max crashes after an update of Origin

Edited again : Finally this issue was solved, by a user named Qwaynlr, not EA support. The following is what I wrote as the last reply of this thread.

EA, I'll go ask for the refund for my purchase of Mad Max, I had to pay 21,000 KRW (like 20 U.S. dollars) only to test if both Steam and Origin version crashes. Also, I'll submit a case demanding compensation for the Origin Access I couldn't use and enjoy, for the days that I had to suffer and tried so many things to solve this issue. Not now, I'll have to go to sleep. It's 3:30 at night in my place. Not sure if I can sleep well with this awful feeling.

Edited: I've stopped trying to solve this case, after weeks of support EA finally says I need to contact WB Games, as it's not from EA but is from a 3rd party. So much thanks for EA for not being able to solve this issue of a game served through Origin, I'm not even angry now. I've got just disappointed.

Hello. Until yesterday I had no problem playing Mad Max with the Origin Access. Today Origin updated itself and the game crashes from the launching. EA launcher shows up but is gone immediately. Then Origin window shows up with 'Play' button available, then it switches to faded button (which means the game's running) and then again the orange color of 'Play' button comes back (available).

I've contacted my country's EA branch (I'm Korean btw) and got a reply with 10 steps to try. None of those worked.

1 - Window mode : Combination of Alt + Enter would change the Window mode, the support said, but that combination doesn't do anything on both Windows and Origin. I cannot run the game at all, so trying Alt + Enter in the game is impossible. Also, it said 'find Electronic Arts -> the relevant game folder -> Options.ini but there's no Mad Max folder in Electronic Arts, nor Options.ini (I couldn't find this file from any relevant folder such as Document -> WB Games or Program Files (x86).)

2 - Checking firewall or vaccine : there's nothing to do with any of those, because until yesterday there was no problem at all for me to play the game.

3 - Removing registry, cache, and temporary files : tried but doesn't help.

4 - Launch Origin as Admin : tried but doesn't help.

5 - Start -> UAC -> user account control setting as 'never notify' : already set as this. No need to change.

6 - backup and save the game : I removed the game and reinstalled it. Don't think I'll have to try this.

7 - Removing Origin Cache : tried but doesn't help.

8 - Clean boot : tried but doesn't help.

9 - "Try the game again" : I don't really understand what was meant by this... the sentence was incomplete or when it was awfully translated from English.

10 - Find Program Files (x86) -> Origin Games -> Mad Max, click right mouse button and choose 'properties', then click 'share' and the button 'share...'. : the button 'share...' cannot be clicked at all, it's not available.

After trying those I removed the game and Origin, reinstalled Origin and Mad Max, updated my NVidia driver. Then I found tried these from the folder 'Program Files (x86) -> Origin Games -> Mad Max': 1) opened Settings.ini, changed Fullscreen=2 to Fullscreen=1 and Fullscreen=0. 2) found 2 icons - AVAMain and EALauncher (the icon with the image of Mad Max and a green icon, respectively) then from 'properties' tried 'run this program as Admin', set compatibility on Win 7. Then for AVAMain, from properties, tried 'stop using fullscreen optimization'.

Unfortunately none of what I had tried worked. I strongly insist the latest Origin update is to blame, between yesterday's gameplay and today's there was no update or installation of any programs, as long as there's any program which doesn't notify the users about its update. I can't find anything else I may try. I already sent a follow-up query to Korean branch but the support crew must have left. (I don't blame this, rather I appreciate I got a reply with 10 steps even when it's Lunar New Year's Holidays now here.) I've sent relevant screenshots, MSInfo, and DxDiag. (Not UO Trace, as there's no problem with wireless Internet connection.)

It's a long query, but I would appreciate it if anyone can help me. Thx in advance.

    Hey man,
I don't know if this will work for you but I had the same problem for a while but today I finally managed to get it running:
    1) open Origin
    2) click on Mad Max
    3) click on the settings button, then on game properties
    4) on the "advanced launch options" tab under line "when launching this game" select "Mad Max", not the "Mad Max EA Launcher" option
And that's all, did the trick for me, hopefully it'll help you as well
