NFS Heat party chat issues (can't hear partymates)

I'm guessing this might be a cross-play thing? I play on PC and my friend on PS4, we've had no problem entering into a party in NFS Heat and talking to each other through headsets, yet the last time ...

    @EA_Darko I think you're right about that.  I'm a novice at PC systems but I found the advanced sound settings that had my headphones listed as the default playback for game audio and my monitor speakers as default for communication audio, and I think that's why it was splitting.  I adjusted the settings so that ALL audio defaults to my headphones and that seems to have fixed the problem.

    Right-click the speaker icon in the tray > speaker setup > advanced setup.  Then I checked all 4 tabs (playback, recording, sounds, and communications) to make sure I had the proper devices listed as defaults.

Hey @Camphash93 and @MrTonyStarkey can you check your audio settings, on your system, your launcher and in-game to ensure that they reflect your set up.

I have my system set so that my sound for gaming goes to my monitor and then to my speakers while anything such as in-game chat is output directly by my inbuilt system speakers. If I check my system audio settings they all show the same but within individual programs, I've set it up so that it reflects my ideal set up.

      I can’t hear my friend even if he is the party leader we played different games and I can hear him I’m on Ps and he is on xbox

    I play this with my sister and yet 3 days ago everything was fine. I didn’t change any settings. Now she plays on PS4 and I play on Xbox 1. We never had issues until I got on today with her and my voice wasn’t going through, and I couldn’t hear hers. Although I saw the icon and her name at the top of the screen that shows she’s speaking. Has anyone found a solution to this?

      Hey @channon1025 can your sister hear you when you are speaking?

      Do you have an issue with chat in any other games or is it just with NFS?

        I can speak in a party chart but not in game. She can’t hear me and I can’t hear her. But the microphone symbol shows up clearly.

      My friend and I have the same problem (he plays on Xbox and me on PS4).

      I can hear him but he can’t hear me.

      Any help??

        @Rowlowrkb We ran some troubleshooting tonight and it seems to work when the Xbox player is the party leader, hope that helps!
