Origin won't install (error code 20:2)

I recently uninstalled origin as it was messing with my games, however, today I tried reinstalling it and everytime I try to install it I get a screen saying "Whoops - the installer encountered an ...

I know this is a bit late. However, here's hoping it helps the next person. I had this same problem on my PC and found out that it was Originthinsetup that wouldn't download. I contacted EA and explained to them what was happening and they gave me a link https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe this downloaded right away and with zero problems. This is the original platform for Origin. This link is for PC not sure if it can be used on MAC or not, I hope this helps.

Hi all,

For Error 20:2 please make sure you have sufficient disk space on C: to install Origin.

In the meantime, if you are encountering this issue you should be able to resolve it by reinstalling Origin via:

https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe

    Hi Tom,

    it's 23-09-2018 and I've hade some problem to install the new version of origin, error 20:2, I've followed every pass that you exposed in the "comment", but it doesn't work at all, and this disapointed me 'couse I've tried to reinstall Origin 'couse i've bought mass effect 3 for 20 dollars, and you know I want to play it lol.. I've already downloaded the old installer of origni but it doesn't work so please help me brow xD

    hey does it have to install in disk C? is it possible to change it to d/e?
