Origin Won't Update
So tonight after playing Sims Superstar for a while I decided to play Sims 3 and as always Origin is going through some dumb update. After downloading an update an error would pop up "HOLD UP! AN UPD...
@jpst23 This message is often caused by an oudated version of Origin that can't update itself. Please clear Origin's cache and then uninstall Origin "the hard way," which should not affect your installed games.

Restart your computer, download the full Origin installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." This is a direct download link:

Run Origin as an admin as well, at least until you know it's working.
