OriginThinSetup ERROR
I recently had to update from Windows 7 to Windows 10. With Windows 7 I had Origin, all up to date and worked fine. I had to do a factory reset on my computer and then installed Windows 10. I'm trying to download Origin again (because I can't live without Sims) but am receiving Application Error 0xc000007b and haven't been able to fix it. At first I was receiving errors due to missing MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll, but I downloaded these files and the errors went away. Has anyone else experienced these errors? I've tried a few different things to try and fix, but nothing has worked. I tried a clean boot, ran a sfc scan but nothing seems to be working. I keep seeing suggestions to uninstall Origin and then reinstall, but I have no trace of it being on my computer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
@Kailik1988 I had a similar issue, I was able to fix it by downloading the the files from
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
you have to get both the (x86) and the (x64) versions of Microsoft Visual C++ (2015-2019)
