Community AdminAny time I think of somewhere cool or striking in a game it's definitely not somewhere I'd like to actually be. I love From Software's worlds, but they're generally pretty horrific.
So for somewhere that's merely melancholic rather than nightmarish I'll pick Majula from Dark Souls 2. You can park your player at a cliff and just soak up the atmosphere, it's a truly beautiful area.

I love visiting all the mentioned zones to just listen to the music while enjoying the ambiance. It's very relaxing :-)
