@TrueNorseman sadly it's one license per account. Once the code was redeemed on an account it's not possible to transfer the code/game to another account. Origin doesn't have a family share function, so the games can't be shared with other accounts. 

I am not sure if Sims 4 can be gifted to a child account, as the game may be considered unsuitable for children of certain ages. 

You can try talking to support and see if they can do something about it or come up with a solution. There are a few options: live chat or call, but i'd suggest to try the live chat first. If the Live chat seems to be stuck, try to access it via the old Internet Explorer 11 browser.
