worked for me: it's just about twice the size of the thin installer was, for me, so I don't think it's the same thing.
If you're using a vpn connection, in my experience, the thin installer doesn't work. This offline installer did, though.
Nothing to do with a VPN. This has been happening multiple times now. I used this link before when they updated the client. There's just something wrong with the updating process in which it forces you offline and won't allow it to actually update. The only workaround seems to be to uninstall the client and use this full installer every time they update Origin.
