Re: sims 4 download failed

@JEE526  Do you have a proxy enabled?  If so, please disable it.  Here's how to check:

Otherwise, do you have access to another wifi network you could connect to?  If not, please try to start the Sims 4 download while using your phone as a mobile hotspot.  (Make sure it's using data, not your home wifi.)  I realize it's far too much data to download with your phone, but it's worth seeing whether you get the same error.  You can cancel the download if it does start.

@puzzlezaddict it did work when I connected to another network, well thank you so much i have been communicating with the ea help through my mail for 6 days with no result and they keep repeating the same methods for me to try, you should actually work with ea :D

one last thing if you can help me understand why this happened and how to make it work on my network.

update: the game downloaded 60% I paused and tired to connect back on my network but it didn't continue the download and showed failed error

  • @JEE526  It's difficult to diagnose a network error from this end, but the first place to start would be with powercycling your router.  If that helps, great; if not, you might need to contact your ISP to see whether any EA servers are blocked.  The fact that the game downloads on a different network makes the source of the problem pretty clear.

  • I am having a similar issues with updating my sims game.  I am already using a separate admin user on my Mac and my OS is updated to Ventura 13.3.1.  I have received the same error when using my home wifi and my hotspot.  I have had used this platform for the sims for well over 7 years with no issues but have been unable to play for months.  Any help would be so appreciated!
