Xbox Series X controller not working for Burnout Paradise Remastered

I got Burnout Paradise Remastered installed and got my new Xbox Series X controller plugged in but it wasn't working even though the game has controller settings.

    Hey @NickDodge, can you try the following steps:

    1. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise Remastered\Save\
    2. Delete "controls.ini"
    3. Open the game through Origin. If Origin asks you which data should be used for cloud saves, select the local

@EA_Darko I had the same problem but with xbox one controller connected via Bluetooth and it worked!

      i have tried deleting the file but the game is not accepting my inputs
