Refunded game, still in library months later?

Hi. A couple months ago I bought and promptly refunded Battlefront 2's Celebration edition.

Even after getting the refund and my money back, the game has been sitting in my library as if I had never refunded it at all.

I was thinking of giving it another chance, thing is I can't buy the game again since it's already in my account. I haven't started the game up since I tried it months ago and I'm unsure if anything will happen to my account if I were to play it. Is it safe, or should the game just be removed completely so I can re-buy it?

    @gongiiiiii

    If you want to play again, log out of Origin, close Origin client, uninstall the game via Windows, reboot, launch Origin and purchase the game, download, install and then play.

    Let us know if this does not go as planned, thanks.

  • The game has been uninstalled ever since I refunded the game, and even still it appears in my library as if I own the game, I can still install it and everything.

    I think that might be the case, the game might've not been taken off my account when I refunded.

  • I never got an answer to my question about this, but I think I should make it more clear.

    I bought the game a couple months back then refunded it, but the game is still able to be downloaded and Origin claims I still own the game. The game is still in my library and checking the game's page on origin claims that I own the game.

    I'm not sure if the license for the game just wasn't revoked or if this is something Origin does for your first refunded game? Either way, I just want to know since a friend wanted to try the game out again with me and since I can't re-purchase it since it's already counted as being owned, I'm unsure if playing it would cause anything to happen to my account.

    Hi @TheSithLord254 , I'm locking this thread since it's a bit old. If you have questions regarding a refund it would be best to get in touch with customer support directly since we don't have any visibility here (my guess is that a refund can take up to 10 business days but support will have more precise information).
  • I had the same situation with Sims 3, after an hour of playing I decided I wanted to return them. I got my money back. But now when I wanted to give them a second chance because they were in my library, after downloading The game wouldn't start and it said that this game doesn't belong to me or something like that, so now I can't give it a second chance because my copy that I shouldn't have doesn't work and that's it.And I can't buy a new one because it shows me that I have this game
