Sims 4 Packs wont download due to insufficient drive space on Mac

Im trying to download some expansion packs for my sims 4, I've set the download location to my usb flash drive (bc my macbook is full) which has 120gb of free storage however I get a message telling ...

Did Origin successfully change the library location to the external? Could you post a screenshot from Origin > Installs & Saves.

Open Disk Utility, select the external and see how much space is available on it.
