I was able to fix this problem by deleting the Origin cache files
- first "view hidden files and folders" Show hidden files
- Delete Origin folder in C:\ProgramData\
- Delete Origin folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\
- Delete Origin folder in C:\Users\ <username> \AppData\Roaming\
